The River Cities Crime Camera Program is a collaborative effort between the City of Natchez, the Natchez Police Department, the Adams County Sheriff's Office, and the City of Vidalia to expand crime camera coverage in the areas most affect by crime in our cities. 

The program is supported by a federal grant from the Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance.

Our Vision and Mission

To implement a crime reduction program built upon a public-private partnership with the community to provide increased situational awareness and enhances detection, prevention, and investigation of crime incidents

Project Goals

  1. To expand the information sharing capacity of Adams County law enforcement by establishing a crime camera fusion center through a public-private partnership with Project NOLA
  2. To deploy a media campaign aimed at fostering effective and consistent collaborations with community members to promote public safety and better respond to incidents of crime
  3. To use technology, intelligence, and data in innovative ways that enable law enforcement to focus resources on the people and places associated with high concentrations of criminal behavior and crime

The BJA Gulf States Law Enforcement Technology Initiative provides resources and law enforcement technology to law enforcement jurisdictions within the five Gulf States – Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas – to enhance information and intelligence sharing among them in order to reduce crime and drug trafficking.
